Los Blancos (10-2-1) have slipped to second in the table behind Barcelona after running away with their 35th league title last season. They suffered a 3-2 loss to Rayo Vallecano on Monday, which followed a 1-1 draw with newly-promoted Girona the previous week. Cadiz (2-5-6) are 19th in La Liga's table but have lost just once in their past eight matches (2-5-1) a nd played to draws in both meetings with Real last season.
