USC Trojans (4-3) vs. California Golden Bears (0-7)

The 2022-23 college basketball season continues on the last day of November, and the USC Trojans face off against the California Golden Bears at Haas Pavilion in Berkeley, California, to start the Pac-12 Conference play. 

The Trojans search for their ninth consecutive victory over the Golden Bears. They open as firm 8-point road favorites with a total of 127.0 points. 

The USC Trojans (4-3; 3-4 ATS) are coming off the Bad Boy Mowers Battle 4 Atlantis where they met BYU, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. After an 82-76 victory over the Cougars, the Trojans have suffered two straight defeats to the No. 22 Volunteers 73-66 in overtime and the Badgers 64-59. Senior guard Boogie Ellis led the way for the Trojans, dropping 27 points on BYU and 21 on Tennessee. He had 15 points and four rebounds against Wisconsin, while senior wing Drew Peterson posted a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double. 

The Trojans made 41.1% of their field goals and went 11-for-23 from beyond the arc versus the Badgers. They also posted ten offensive rebounds, but the Trojans turned the ball over 14 times while forcing just eight turnovers on the other side. 

USC is No. 62 in the latest KenPom rankings. The Trojans are tallying 106.4 points per 100 possessions (81st in the nation) on 45.8% shooting from the field (132nd) and 32.8% from beyond the 3-point line (218th). On the other side of the ball, they are surrendering 94.5 points per 100 possessions (54th) on 38.2% shooting from the field (43rd) and 31.8% from beyond the arc (150th). The Trojans rank eighth in the nation in blocks per game (6.3).
