The #5 USC Trojans (3-0, 2-1 ATS, 2-1 O/U) collide with the Arizona State Sun Devils (1-2, 0-3 ATS 0-3 O/U) in a PAC-12 battle on Saturday evening. The Trojans beat Stanford in their previous action to remain undefeated. The Sun Devils were shut out by Fresno State in their previous bout. USC posted a 42-25 home win against Arizona State last season.

The USC Trojans enter their first road game of the season rested. They enjoyed an early bye last week after dominating in the opening three games. USC pelted San Jose State in the opener, beat Nevada, and opened conference play in a 56-10 home win against Stanford to cover the 28-point spread. The Trojans have covered in two of their three decisions. USC was predicted to win the conference in the preseason poll. They remained at the #5 spot in the AP Top 25.

USC has an elite QB in Caleb Williams. The junior QB was incredible last year and has accrued 878 passing yards and a 12:0 TD to INT ratio. He has connected on over 70% of his passes in all three performances. USC has a strong running game. MarShawn Lloyd posted 573 rushing yards with South Carolina last year and already has 195 rushing yards on a dazzling 7.8 yards per carry.

The Trojans receiving core is stacked. Tahj Washington has at least 73 receiving yards in all three games and leads the squad with 233 yards. The offense has three players with at least 124 receiving yards. The USC offense could be the best in the country. They lead the FBS in points per play.

The Trojans' defense is not quite as dominant as the offense but is solid. The only squad that gave them any sort of issues was San Jose State in the opener. The unit limited Stanford to only 349 total yards in week three. The pass defense stands 77th while the rush defense is 94th. A lot of that 94 mark is due to Stanford running 41 times against the Trojans' defense.

USC is averaging a remarkable 59.3 points which leads the FBS. The defense is allowing an average of only 17.3 points, placing them 45th.
