South Florida (USF) vs. Wichita State Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 3-5-2023

The South Florida Bulls will play the Wichita State Shockers on Sunday at Charles Koch Arena. Tip-off from Wichita, KS, is at 2:00 p.m. ET.

South Florida (14-16 SU, 18-11-1 ATS) beat Tulsa on Wednesday. The Bulls are 4-1 straight-up in their last five games and 7-10 in American Athletic Conference competition. Junior center Russel Tchewa is questionable after missing the previous game with an undisclosed ailment.

Wichita State (15-14 SU, 15-13-1 ATS) lost to Houston on Thursday. The Shockers are 3-2 straight-up in their last five games and 8-9 in AAC play. Leading scorer Jaykwon Walton is questionable to play after missing the previous game with an illness.

Wichita State defeated South Florida 70-66 on January 8. The Bulls led 34-26 at halftime, but the Shockers stormed out of the locker room with 42 points. USF shot under 40 percent from the field and was off the mark from three-point range (4-for-23).

Wichita State leads the all-time series 8-1.

The Bulls are charging into the finish line, winning three straight and four of their past five. If South Florida is victorious in Sunday's regular-season finale, it will be a dangerous team in the AAC Tournament.

USF cleaned the floor with Tulsa on Wednesday, outscoring the visitors by 15 points in the first half and cruising to a home win following intermission. The Bulls shot 42.4 percent and held the Golden Hurricane to 33.3 percent. They boasted a +10 rebounding margin with 14 offensive rebounds and won the turnover battle. Senior forward Keyshawn Bryant led all scorers with 30 points for South Florida.

Other Bulls to watch are 7-foot junior center Russel Tchewa (11.4 PPG, 8.6 RPG, 61.2 FG%), sophomore guard Selton Miguel (10.5 PPG, 3.2 RPG, 3.3 APG), and junior guard Jamir Chaplin (7.4 PPG, 3.2 RPG).
