The South Dakota State Jackrabbits (11-11, 8-12-1 ATS, 7-14 O/U) take on the Kansas City Roos (10-13, 12-9 ATS, 11-10 O/U) in a Summit League battle on Monday evening. The Jackrabbits were hit with a road loss against Western Illinois on Saturday. The Rooks defeated Denver in their previous action. South Dakota State beat UMKC in both meetings last season.

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits are eager to get back on the court. They recently won four games in a row fueled by stifling defense but have since lost two straight games. They were dealt a disappointing 60-54 road loss against St. Thomas last week and were 1.5 point favorites in an 81-73 overtime road loss against Western Illinois on Saturday to fall to 6-4 in conference play. The Jackrabbits have covered the spread in one out of their last three road games.

Zeke Mayo is one of the best players in the Summit League. The sophomore guard has now scored at least 23 points in four consecutive games including 27 points on Saturday and has increased his season average to 17 PPG and 6.3 RPG. Matt Dentlinger has connected on at least 50% of his field goals in three consecutive performances. The senior forward has recorded an average of 11 PPG on a stellar 55% mark from the field. Charlie Easley has no t played since December due to an undisclosed injury. The junior guard is a key player, filing an average of 9.3 PPG on 47.9% shooting.

The Jackrabbits are placed 192nd in the country in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings and are struggling on the road where they are 3-9 on the season. South Dakota State has scored at least 73 points in four out of their last five clashes and is averaging 67.9 points on the season, ranking them 280th. They are conceding an average of 69.7 points, positioning them 188th.
