South Dakota at North Dakota – 1/5/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The South Dakota Coyotes will head up to Grand Forks to face the North Dakota Fighting Hawks in Summit League play from BESC on ESPN+. South Dakota won both meetings last season 

South Dakota moved the 7-8 after beating Western Illinois at home. The Coyotes closed 2022 on a nice note, outscoring the Leathernecks in both halves to pick up the 17-point victory. South Dakota is scoring 69.5 ppg, while allowing 72.9 ppg, and shooting 42.8% from the floor.

South Dakota has fallen victim to tough scheduling, but they’ve opened Summit League play on a good note by winning their first two games. The Coyotes are led by the backcourt duo of Kruz Perrott-Hunt and A.J. Plitzuweit. Perrott-Hunt went for a career-high 30 points in the win over WIU to bring his team-lead to 13.2 ppg. Plitzuweit has reached double figures in five of the last six games, and he’s second on the team at 12.5 ppg. Junior big Tasos Kamateros mans the middle, and averages 11.4 ppg and 6.1 rpg.
