The Gamecocks finished the non-conference portion of their schedule at 7-6 with two straight wins at home to close that portion of their schedule. South Carolina hits the road with just a 1-2 road record and 0-4 in neutral sites. In their last game, South Carolina took down Eastern Michigan 74-64 on Friday night at home. Gregory Jackson II scored a career-high 24 points to help lead the Gamecocks to victory. Chico Martin Jr. added 15 points in the win and Meechie Johnson contributed 10 points, six rebounds and three assists. South Carolina held East Carolina to just 39.7% shooting from the field and dominated the glass with a 46-30 edge on the glass.
