South Carolina head coach Chris Jans on the win:

“We knew this one [against South Carolina] we had to get. “We needed to get a road win. It was against a team that we felt like we matched up with pretty well and we wanted to carry that momentum into Saturday when we're going to play a really, really good and really talented and well-coached Missouri team that has all t he numbers. They've got all the [positive] metrics…In order for us to have that momentum and get a streak going we obviously had to take care of this road win and I'm happy for our guys.”

The Bulldogs have won five straight versus the Gamecocks at the Humphrey Coliseum dating back to 2018.

South Carolina has lost three of their last four games, but are 2-1 in their last three road games.  They have a 4-11 record away from their home court.  The Bulldogs have won two of their last three games overall and are 4-1 in their past four home games.  They are 11-4 on their home court this season.
