The South Alabama Jaguars will travel to Strahan Arena at the University Events Center on Wednesday night in a Sun Belt Conference matchup. The Jaguars are 15-14 (8-8) so far this season and are riding a four-game winning streak after an 81-45 home win on Saturday against the UL Monroe Warhawks. The Jags are five games out of the lead of the conference and could climb the rankings, but it is clogged up in the middle of the section. The Bobcats are 13-16 (6-10) right now and are coming off a 78-75 road win over the Coastal Carolina Chanticleers on Saturday. They are sitting seven games out of the top of the Sun Belt, but things are very tight for them right now with the standings very close together. These teams faced off on Jan. 7 with the Bobcats picking up a 64-58 road win so this will be an interesting matchup.

The South Alabama Jaguars have been playing decently well and were able to pick up an 81-45 home victory against the UL Monroe Warhawks. They dominated in the first half as they outscored UL Monroe 44-20. They shot the ball incredibly well as they were 32-of-57 (56.1 percent) overall, 13-of-26 (50 percent) from the three, and only five free-throw attempts. Senior guard Greg Parham II led the team as in 25 minutes he finished with 19 points, one rebound, and five assists. Defensively, they did an outstanding job as they allowed 25 percent from the floor and 17.4 percent from deep here. South Alabama did very well as they finished with four steals and eight blocks throughout the game. 

 

The South Alabama Jaguars are doing pretty well this seaso n as they are 194th in the nation with 70.9 points per game thus far and shooting a solid 46.8 percent from the floor and are averaging 11.8 assists per game. Defensively, they are giving up 64.9 points per game, which is 50th in the country. They need to improve with 4.3 blocks and 6.1 steals per game thus far.
