Seton Hall at DePaul – 1/14/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Seton Hall Pirates and DePaul Blue Demons face off on Saturday in a college basketball showdown at Wintrust Arena. When these two teams faced off in February it was Seton Hall that secured a 66-64 victory. 

Seton Hall comes into this game with a 10-8 record overall and they have been very inconsistent. In the last game against Georgetown, the defense gave up only 51 points and that led to the 15-point victory. Al-Amir Dawes had an elite game finishing with 24 points, two rebounds, and one assist. Seton Hall is averaging 69.6 points while their defense is giving up 63.6 points per game. The defense for this team all season has been good and they are ranked 44th. Al Amir Dawes is having a strong season averaging 11.7 points while shooting 42.2 percent from the field and 42.7 percent from behind the three-point line. 

On the other side of this matchup is DePaul who sits with an 8-9 record and they are coming off a big win in the last game. The offense scored 75 points against Villanova and that was enough to win by 10 points. Da’Sean Nelson had a strong game finishing with 24 points, eight rebounds, and two assists. DePaul is averaging 71.9 points while their defense is giving up 74.9 points per game. The defense is ranked 318th, and going forward they are going to need more production from the defense. Javan Johnson is averaging 16 points while shooting 44 percent from the field and 43.1 percent from behind the three-point line.
