Seton Hall at Creighton – 1/3/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Seton Hall Pirates will travel to Omaha and face the Creighton Bluejays in Big East play from the CHI Health Center on FS1. Seton Hall leads the all-time series 16-10 after leading sweeping the season series last year.

Seton Hall improved to 8-7 after defeating St. John’s. The Pirates needed to stop the bleeding in conference play early, and they did just that, hanging a season-high 88 points on the Red Storm, en route to a 22-point win. Seton Hall is scoring 69.9 points per game, while allowing 64.1 ppg, and shooting 44.2% from the floor.

Seton Hall’s performance versus St. John’s showed that this team is capable on the offensive end, consistency has to follow suit though. It’s been a collective effort so far, with first-year head coach Shaheen Holloway shifting the lineup often early on. Clemson transfer Al-Amir Dawes leads SHU in scoring (11.6) after going for a season-high 22 points versus St. John’s. but he’s been cold since the start of conference play. Former Syracuse guard Kadary Richmond has stepped up since the start of conference play as well, going for a season-high 28 points against Providence, and posting a 19/9/6 line versus St. John’s. Senior forward Tyrese Samuel leads the Pirates in boards at 6.4 rpg, while scoring 10.6 ppg.
