The Seattle Mariners go back on the road Saturday night for game two of three against the Texas Rangers in Arlington. Seattle comes into Saturday nine games above .500 riding a 2 game win streak following a 4-3 victory over the New York Yankees. Robbie Ray got the start for Seattle giving up only two runs on three hits across 6.1 innings of work leading to a no decision. Penn Murfee came on in relief to allow one run on one hit to pick up the win.

Offensively Seattle did just enough from the plate with five hits in 28 at bats but went 1-2 with runners in scoring position to score four runs. Carlos Santana provided the biggest pop in the Seattle lineup with a two run home run in the seventh inning. Sam Haggerty and Mitch Haniger chipped in as well for the Seattle offense driving in one run each.

The Texas Rangers go back home 13 games under .500 after losing three of the last four games played following a 7-3 loss in Houston. Cole Ragans struggled immensely on the mound for Texas giving up five runs on six hits across 4.1 innings of work leading to the loss. The Texas bullpen was abysmal as well allowing two more runs on three hits over the final 3.2 innings of the game.
