The Seattle Kraken face the Tampa Bay Lightning in a matchup between two of the league's best teams. The Kraken have a 16-8-3 record and with seven wins in their last 10 games are in second place in the Pacific Division. The Lightning have a 17-9-1 record and with back-to-back wins have leaped into third place in the Atlantic Division. both teams are looking to remain near the top of their divisions and the upcoming game looks to be a great one as a result.

The Kraken are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.56 goals per game with five goals in their recent win. Andre Burakovsky, Matthew Beniers, and Jordan Eberle have scored 28 goals and 45 assists to lead the top two lines but the entire offense has stepped up. Yanni Gourde, Jared McCann, and Daniel Sprong have combined for 22 goals and 27 assists while defensemen Vince Dunn and Justin Schultz have added seven goals and 25 assists from the point to help open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.15 goals per game. Adam Larsson and Vince Dunn have combined for 3.5 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. In addition, goaltender Martin Jones has struggled in the net with a .890 save percentage and a 2.91 goals-against average on 499 shots .
