The Seattle Kraken face the New Jersey Devils in a matchup between two of the best teams in the NHL. The Kraken have a 29-16-5 record and are in second place in the Pacific Division while the Devils have a 33-13-4 record and with eight wins in the last 10 games, they have the second-best record in the Metropolitan Division. Both teams look to remain near the top of their divisions and the upcoming game looks to be a great one as a result.

The Kraken are having a great season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.54 goals per game. Andre Burakovsky, Jordan Eberle, and Matthew Beniers have scored 40 goals and 73 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also been great. Jared McCann, Yanni Gourde, and Daniel Sprong have combined for 44 goals and 52 assists while defenseman Vince Dunn has added nine goals and 27 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.06 goals per game including 10 goals in the last three games. Vince Dunn and Adam Larsson have combined for 7.3 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net at will. In addition, goaltender Martin Jones has struggled with a .894 save percentage and a 2.86 goals-against average on 921 shots with -11.1 goals sa ved above average.
