The Seattle Kraken face the Montreal Canadiens with both teams heading in opposite directions this season. The Kraken have a 22-12-4 record and with four wins in a row, they have leaped into third place in the Pacific Division. The Canadiens meanwhile have a 16-21-3 record and with only two wins in their last 10 games are in last place in the Atlantic Division. The Kraken look to improve in the Western Conference playoff picture while the Canadiens are looking to rebound in the Atlantic Division and the upcoming game should be a good one as a result.

The Kraken are having a great season with their offense leading the way, scoring 3.66 goals per game including 22 goals in the last four games. Andre Burakovsky, Jordan Eberle, and Matthew Beniers have scored 34 goals and 59 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also been great. Jared McCann, Daniel Sprong, and Yanni Gourde have combined for 36 goals and 38 assists while defensemen Vince Dunn and Justin Schultz have added 10 goals and 37 assists from the point to put the offense over the top.

The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.18 goals per game. Adam Larsson and Vince Dunn have combined for 4.8 defensive points shares and 120 blocked shots but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to carry the puck into the offensive zone and find open shots on the net at will.
