Seattle Kraken vs. Los Angeles Kings Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-29-2022

Seattle Kraken (13-5-3) vs. Los Angeles Kings (12-9-3)

The 2022-23 NHL season continues Tuesday, November 29, with nine games around the league including the Pacific Division between the Seattle Kraken and Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, with the puck drop at 10:30 PM ET.

Seattle meets LA for the third time this season, and the Kraken have outlasted the Kings in their previous two encounters, 4-1 and 3-2 in overtime. The visitors opened as +110 moneyline underdogs, but that went down to -102 by the time of writing.

The red-hot Seattle Kraken have won ten of their previous 12 games overall. They are rolling on a five-game winning streak following a 5-4 road victory at the Anaheim Ducks this past Sunday. The Kraken blew a two-goal, allowing the Ducks to tie the game at 4-4 late in the second period, while Daniel Sprong’s fourth goal of the season early in the third lifted Seattle over Anaheim.

“You want to play a perfect 60 minutes,” Sprong said. “Is it going to happen every game? Probably not, but good teams still find a way to win.”

Martin Jones guarded the cage at Honda Center in Anaheim, yielding four goals on 29 shots. The 32-year-old netminder extended his win streak to four games, but Jones has allowed nine goals over his previous two starts. He’s now 11-4-2 with a 2.58 GAA and .903 save percentage in 2022-23. The Kraken haven’t announced who’ll patrol the crease Tuesday, and Philipp Grubauer, who returned from an injury in a 4-2 victory at Vegas last Friday, is waiting for his chance.

Seattle boasts the six-highest-scoring offense in the NHL, notching 3.57 goals per contest. The Kraken are 16-for-69 with the man advantage (tied-12th in the league) and lead the NHL in shooting percentage (12.3%). Andre Burakovsky leads the way for Seattle with seven goals and 14 assists, while Matthew Beniers has seven goals and 11 dishes on his season tally.
