The Seattle Kraken face the Florida Panthers with both teams off to strong starts to the season. The Kraken have a 15-8-3 record which is second-best in the Pacific Division but are hoping to snap out of a three-game losing streak. The Panthers have a 13-11-4 record and are in the middle of the Atlantic Division. Both teams are looking to improve within their divisions and the upcoming game should be a great one as a result.

The Kraken are having a promising season behind an offense that is scoring 3.50 goals per game. Andre Burakovsky, Jordan Eberle, and Matthew Beniers have scored 25 goals and 44 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has also stepped up. Jared McCann, Yanni Gourde, and Daniel Sprong have combined for 20 goals and 25 assists while defensemen Vince Dunn and Justin Schultz have added seven goals and 25 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.19 goals per game including 13 goals in the last three games. While Adam Larsson and Vince Dunn have combined for 3.4 defensive point shares, the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to carry the puck into the offensive zone and find open shots on the net. In addition, goaltender Martin Jones has struggled in the net with a .888 save percentage and a 2.97 goals-against average on 474 shots.
