The Seattle Kraken face the Carolina Hurricanes with both teams looking to build off strong starts to the season. The Kraken have a 16-9-3 record and are in second place in the Pacific Division. The Hurricanes have a 16-6-6 record and with back-to-back wins have leaped into second place in the Metropolitan Division. Both teams are looking to remain near the top of their divisions and the upcoming game looks to be a great one as a result.

The Kraken are having a strong season with their offense stepping up and scoring 3.50 goals per game. Andre Burakovsky, Jordan Eberle, and Matthew Beniers have scored 28 goals and 46 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has also stepped up. Jared McCann, Yanni Gourde, and Daniel Sprong have combined for 23 goals and 28 assists while defensemen Vince Dunn and Justin Schultz have added seven goals and 25 assists from the point to open up the offense.

The offense has been great but the defense has struggled, allowing 3.25 goals per game with 21 goals in the last five games.
