The Seattle Kraken face the Carolina Hurricanes with both teams looking to improve on rocky starts to the season. The Kraken have a 2-4-1 record and are near the bottom of the Pacific Division. The Hurricanes have a 3-4 record and with three losses in a row, they have fallen to the bottom of the Metropolitan Division. The Kraken are hoping to rebound in the Pacific Division while the Hurricanes look to snap a three-game losing streak and the upcoming game should be a great one.

The Kraken are off to a rough start with their offense struggling, scoring only 2.29 goals per game. Oliver Bjorkstrand, Jared McCann, and Jaden Schwartz have scored eight goals and five assists while Vince Dunn is adding a goal and six assists from the point but the rest of the offense has struggled. The hope is that Jordan Eberle can step up as he scored 20 goals and 43 assists last season but only has one goal and two assists so far.

The offense has struggled but the defense has let the Kraken down, allowing 3.43 goals per game. Adam Larsson and Vince Dunn have led the top pairing with 21 blocked shots and 24 hits but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease.
