The upstart Seattle Kraken have been one of the surprises of the NHL this season. The team has now won six straight games and has 52 points while sitting in the fifth position in the Western Conference standings. After having just 60 points in their inaugural season in 2021-22, the Kraken are off to an outstanding start this season. On Tuesday night in Buffalo, the Kraken picked up their sixth straight win with a 4-3 win over the Sabres. The Kraken rallied back from a 2-1 deficit to pick up the win. Matt Beniers, Justin Schultz and Jordan Eberle all tallied a goal and an assist for the Kraken while Phillippe Grubauer made 32 saves as the Kraken continue their seven-game road trip.

“You are going to have games like this, on a back-to-back, where it doesn’t look all that good, it doesn’t look pretty,” Kraken coach Dave Hakstol said. “But that’s a great win for our group, to stic k together and get it done.”

Seattle has been very productive when they are able to get shots on goal. The Kraken are just 26th in shots this season but rank 1st in shot percentage in the NHL. They are 3rd in goals per game but just 17th in goals allowed per game. The Kraken's speciality units have been average to poor this season. Seattle is 17th in the NHL in power play percentage and just 31st in the league in penalty kills.
