Quarterback Cole Kelley struggled in the final game of the season completing 36 of 50 passes for 397 yards and two touchdowns but threw three interceptions as well.
Taron Jones proved to be the primary ball carrier for the Lions with 18 yards on 9 carries in the game. Austin Mitchell was the leading receiver for SE Louisiana with 129 yards and one touchdown on 9 catches, while Brennon Dingle chipped in with 88 yards and a score as well on six receptions.

Louisiana lost their first game of the season a year ago to Texas before running off 13 straight wins culminating with a 36-20 win over Marshall in the RL Carriers Bowl.
