College Basketball: Kansas Jayhawks -5.5 over Indiana Hoosiers (-110), 12:00 pm ET
Kansas looks to be the real deal, as they have posted recent wins at Missouri and at home against Seton Hall, both blowouts. This team seems to be hitting its stride as it gets ready to head into conference play. I fully expect they will keep it rolling at home this afternoon, and they should cover this spread comfortably. Indiana seems a bit overvalued at the moment too, which makes this a great spot for bettors. For that reason, backing the Jayhawks will be the play.

NHL pick today: Edmonton Oilers -1.5 over Anaheim Ducks (-130), 4:00 pm ET
The Ducks simply aren't nearly as talented of a team as Edmonton. Anaheim kept the first meeting close last year, but the next 2 were wins for the Oilers by final scores of 7-3 and 6-1. Even the Coyotes have been better than the Ducks this season, and Edmonton smashed them 8-2 just over a week ago. Therefore, backing the Oilers on the puck line will be the play this afternoon.
