The college hoops betting action continues Thursday, February 2, 2023, with the West Coast Conference showdown from McCarthey Athletic Center in Spokane, Washington, where the Santa Clara Broncos face off against the Gonzaga Bulldogs for the second time this season.

Back in January, the Bulldogs beat the Broncos 81-76 as 8-point road favorites with a total of 159.0 points. Gonzaga opens as a 13.5-point home fave this time around, while the totals are listed at 161.0 points.

The Santa Clara Broncos fell to 16-7 SU and 12-10 ATS on the season following Saturday’s surprising 95-89 home loss against Pacific. It was their second defeat in a row, as the Broncos suffered a heavy 77-58 loss at Saint Mary’s on January 21. Now, Santa Clara is tied with Pacific for the No. 4 seed in the West Coast Conference (4-4 record).

The Broncos were favored by 11.5 points over the Tigers, who shot 53.2% from the field and 17-for-31 from beyond the arc. Sophomore guard Brandin Podziemski went off for a career-high 38 points, while senior forward Keshawn Justice had 13 points and five rebounds.

Santa Clara is No. 91 in the NCAA NET Rankings and No. 92 in the KenPom rankings. The Broncos score 109.9 points per 100 possessions (79th in the nation) on 50.1% shooting from inside the arc (228th) and 35.1% from downtown (131st). They allow 102.5 points in return (125th) and rank 325th in opposing 3-point percentage (36.8%).
