The San Jose Sharks (0-4) will be trying to pick up their first win of the season when they face the New York Islanders (1-1) on Tuesday night. The Sharks are coming off a 5-2 loss to Chicago. The Islanders are coming off a 7-1 win over Anaheim.

San Jose is 6-4 in its last 10 games against New York.

The Sharks are off to a poor start after losing their first four games. They are hitting the road for the first time this season and will be hoping that a change of scenery is just the doctor ordered as they try to put an end to their streak and pick up their first win of the season.

San Jose is averaging 1.50 goals per game. They scored two goals on 26 shots in their loss to the Blackhawks.

Erik Karlsson had a goal and an assist for the Sharks. Nico Sturm scored a goal, while Mario Ferraro, Logan Couture, and Steven Lorentz picked up an assist.
