The Sharks are having a rough season with their offense letting them down, scoring only 2.13 goals per game with only two goals in the last two games. Tomas Hertl, William Elkund, and Mikael Granlund have scored 19 goals and 38 assists to lead the top two lines but the rest of the offense has struggled. Only four skaters have seven goals or more and opponents can eliminate the offense with ease.

The offense has struggled but the defense has also been a disappointment, allowing 3.83 goals per game. Kyle Burroughs and Mario Ferraro have combined for 1.7 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease.
