San Francisco Dons (11-4) vs. Santa Clara Broncos (12-3)

The 2022-23 college basketball betting action continues Thursday, December 29, with the San Francisco Dons facing off against the Santa Clara Broncos in the West Coast Conference showdown at Leavey Center in Santa Clara, California. 

The Dons and Broncos start the conference play with the tip-off at 10:00 PM ET. Santa Clara is a small 1.5-point home fave with a total of 148.5 points, and the Broncos hope to snap their five-game skid against the Dons.   

After a shocking 68-63 home defeat to UT Arlington on December 19, the San Francisco Dons (11-4; 7-7 ATS) have won two games in a row over No. 25 Arizona State 97-60 and Hartford 85-53. The Dons embarrassed the Sun Devils as 2.5-point home dogs and covered a massive 26-point spread against the Hawks. They went 15-for-29 from beyond the arc versus Arizona State while dropping 12 triples on Hartford. 

Senior guard Khalil Shabazz notched 26 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in that thrashing of the Sun Devils. He had just nine points and two dishes against Hartford, while junior forward Isaiah Hawthorne led the way for San Francisco with a season-high 20 points and eight rebounds. Hawthorne had 19 points against Arizona State, and he’s now tallying 6.5 points a nd 2.9 boards per game in 2022-23. 

San Francisco is No. 88 in the NCAA NET Rankings and No. 86 in the KenPom rankings. The Dons are a top-100 team in the country in both offensive and defensive adjusted efficiency, tallying 106.6 points per 100 possessions (82nd) and surrendering 98.0 points in a return (93rd). San Francisco makes 10.0 triples per game (16th) on a 33.9 percentage clip (178th).
