The San Francisco Dons (18-6, 14-9-0 ATS) defeated Pacific on Saturday for their third straight victory, 79-73. The Dons are 7-2 in the conference and 4-3 on the road this year (4-3-0 ATS). San Francisco is 78th according to Bart Torvik but eight places higher in the KenPom Rankings. This is a very good defensive team, 44th in points allowed per 100 possessions (98.6) and 106th in points per 100 possessions (110.0).

San Francisco took a five-point lead into the half and refused to let the Tigers back into it. The Dons shot 50.9% from the field and went 15-18 from the free-throw line (83.3%). That is not surprising, as this is one of the top shooting teams in the country, eighth in field goal percentage (49.4%) and 37th in free-throw percentage (75.7%). However, they are not taking advantage of that shooting prowess, ranked 346th in free-throw attempts per game (13.9).

Marcus Williams led the way with 20 points, hitting eight of 13 shots. Jonathan Mogbo had a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. He is capable of a double-double on any night, averaging 10.7 rebounds and 15.3 points per game.
