San Francisco at Portland  – 1/12/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The San Francisco Dons and Portland Pilots face off on Thursday in a college basketball showdown at the Chiles Center. When these two teams faced off in February it was Portland that secured the 69-68 victory. 

San Francisco comes into this game with a 12-7 record and they have gone 9-9 against the spread. Last Saturday against Loyola Marymount, San Francisco scored 72 points and that was enough to secure the two point victory. Tyrell Roberts was the top player for San Francisco putting up 21 points. The Dons are averaging 74.5 points while their defense is giving up 68.7 points per game. They are averaging 28.8 attempts from deep per game which is 7th best in the league. Khalil Shabazz has been the top player for San Francisco averaging 15.2 points while shooting 41.7 percent from the field and 32.8 percent from behind the three point line. 

Portland comes into this game with an 8-10 record and they have gone 7-9 against the spread. In the last game against Saint Mary’s the offense only managed 43 points and the defense gave up 85 points. Two games ago against BYU, Portland only scored 58 points. The Pilots are averaging 75.7 points while their defense is giving up 73.9 points per game. The defense is bad, but overall the offense is ranked 102nd, although it’s been a problem as of late. Tyler Robertson is averaging 14.1 points while shooting 38.9 percent from the field and 29.3 percent from behind the three point line.
