The Las Vegas Raiders play host to the San Francisco 49ers in a rivalry clash on Sunday afternoon from Allegiant Stadium. The 49ers come into this one playing some of the best football in the NFL, having won eight straight games. For the Raiders, things have been a little more difficult, having lost two of their last three. The last time these two teams played was back in 2018, which was a dominant win for the 49ers, who have won three of the last four in the series overall. With both teams trending in opposite directions in this one, it'll be interesting to see how this one finishes out.
For San Francisco, a slow start to the season has quickly given way to this group looking like an NFC and Super Bowl favorite. The 49ers haven't lost since all the way back in October and while the schedule hasn't been overly daunting, eight-straight wins is still an impressive feat. With four of their last five games coming at home, having to hit the road for this one is sure to be a slight challenge, as their .500 record on the road leaves quite a bit to be desired. The good news is that they'll be taking on a Las Vegas team with little to play for, which should play right into San Francisco's hands.
The wins have continued to come even as the injury report has risen with each week as well. They already find themselves on their third-string quarterback, while Deebo Samuel (knee) remains out into 2023. The main name to keep an eye on is Christian McCaffrey (knee) who is questionable heading into the w eekend but is expected to play. While the defense started the season battling their own injury woes, that group has regained health and strength of late, with Nick Bosa (illness) being the most notable name, though being probable.

San Francisco's offense has been doing enough of late to keep the wins coming, especially with Brock Purdy quickly looking like a mainstay at quarterback. It helps to have the league's best defense to lean on and they should lead the way again on Sunday against the Raiders. San Francisco ranks first in the league in total defense, rushing defense, and scoring defense, while they'll be loving seeing a quarterback making his first career start on the other side. San Franciso's ability to run the ball in their own right, while controlling the ground game of opponents as well, should dictate how this one goes. Dre Greenlaw (119 tackles) and Fred Warner (110 tackles) have formed one of the league's top linebacking duos, which should give Las Vegas fits in this one.
