San Diego Toreros (6-5) vs. Arizona State Sun Devils (10-1)

The San Diego Toreros head to Tempe, Arizona, on Sunday night to face off against the Arizona State Sun Devils in the non-conference showdown at Desert Financial Arena, and the tip-off is set for 7:00 PM ET.

San Diego and Arizona State lock horns for the first time since 2003 when the Sun Devils beat the Toreros 89-70 as 19.5-point favorites. Arizona State is a double-digit fave once more, while the totals sit at 141.0 points.

The San Diego Toreros (6-5; 3-6 ATS) snapped a two-game skid last Monday, trouncing the UC San Diego Tritons 84-58 as 6-point home favorites. After a couple of home defeats to UNLV 95-78 and California Baptist 76-73, the Toreros dominated the Tritons. San Diego shot 51.6% from the field and 13-for-25 from beyond the 3-point line while posting a terrific 19/5 assist-to-turnover ratio. Also, the Tritons forced 20 turnovers and led by as many as 34 points.

Senior forward Marcellus Earlington tortured the Tritons for 21 points on 8-for-11 shooting from the field. Junior guard Seikou Sisoho Jawara had 12 points and a couple of steals, while senior G Eric Williams posted a line of ten points, seven rebounds, three dishes, and one steal.

San Diego is No. 209 in the NCAA NET Rankings and No. 162 in the KenPom rankings. The Toreros tally 106.7 points per 100 possessions (86th in the country) but surrender 106.8 points in a return (277th). Their defense has been pretty much awful so far this season and ranks 301st in the country in 2-point percentage (52.2%) and 359th in 3-point percentage (40.2%). The Toreros make 8.8 triples per contest (74th) on a 39.8 percentage clip (24th).
