The San Diego State Aztecs (5-4) hit the road for an MWC clash against the New Mexico Lobos (2-8) on Friday, November 18, 2022 at University Stadium (NM).

The Aztecs head into this matchup after a 43-27 win over the San Jose State Spartans in their last outing. The Lobos are coming off of a 35-3 loss to the Air Force Falcons. In that matchup with the Spartans, Jalen Mayden had 268 yards on 17-of-22 passing (77.3%) for the Aztecs, with three touchdowns and one interception. He also carried the ball 13 times for 61 yards. Jaylon Armstead totaled 46 rushing yards on 15 carries (3.1 yards per carry), scoring one touchdown on the ground. Tyrell Shavers had four receptions for 111 yards (27.8 per catch) and one touchdown against the Spartans. Justin Holaday’s showing for the Lobos against the Falcons included 10-of-21 passing for 128 yards, no touchdowns and no interceptions. In that matchup, Christian Washington had a seven-carry, 24-yard game (3.4 yards per attempt). Deuce Jones registered 49 yards through the air after three catches (on four targets).

The Lobos are heavy, 14.5-point underdogs in their matchup with the Aztecs (the game’s over/under is 39.5 points).
