San Diego State Aztecs (17-4) vs. Nevada Wolf Pack (16-6)

Week 13 of the 2022-23 NCAA men’s basketball season continues Tuesday, January 31, with the Mountain West Conference showdown from Lawlor Events Center in Reno, Nevada, where the San Diego State Aztecs and Nevada Wolf Pack lock horns with the tip-off at 11:00 PM ET.  

The Aztecs meet the Wolf Pack for the second time this term, and San Diego State opens as a 2-point road fave with a total of 138.0 points. Three weeks ago, the Aztecs beat the Wolf Pack 74-65 as 9.5-point home favorites, and the game went over a total of 137.0 points.

The San Diego State Aztecs (17-4; 8-11-1 ATS) improved to 8-1 in conference play following Saturday’s 72-51 thrashing of San Jose State. SDSU held the Spartans to 14 first-half points and never looked back, extending its winning streak to four games. The Aztecs committed a paltry three turnovers and made 46.6% of their field goals (5-for-16 from deep), but they also missed nine of their 22 attempts from the free-throw line. 

Senior forward Keshad Johnson led the way for the Aztecs last Saturday, tallying 16 points and eight rebounds in 28 minutes on the floor. Matt Bradley, a 6-foot-4 senior guard, had 14 points and a couple of assists, and he’s now averaging 13.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 2.3 assists on the season.

SDSU is topping the Mountain West Conference, one game ahead of Boise State and two ahead of New Mexico, Utah State, and Nevada. The Aztecs are No. 22 in the AP Top 25 Poll, No. 23 in the NCAA NET Rankings, and No. 24 in the KenPom rankings. They score 113.8 points per 100 possessions (34th in the country) while surrendering 95.3 points in return (29th).
