The San Diego State Aztecs are on the road as they make the trip to face the Boise State Broncos Saturday afternoon. San Diego State comes in off a 71-59 home win over Nevada in their previous contest Wednesday night, covering the line as a 6.5-point favorite. Boise State fell 68-64 at home to UNLV in their previous game Tuesday night, losing outright as a five-point favorite. In the all-time series between the teams, the Aztecs own an 18-11 advantage but the Broncos picked up a 66-60 home win in the most recent matchup on February 28, 2023.

San Diego State bounced back from a road loss to New Mexico to down Nevada for their eighth win in nine games Wednesday night. The Aztecs improved to 15-3 overall on the season and are tied for first in the Mountain West with a 4-1 conference mark. Against Nevada, San Diego State jumped in front 10-2 early and controlled the first half from there. The Aztecs were up 14 at the half only to see Nevada tie the game on multiple occasions in the second half, the last at 53 with 8:03 remaining. San Diego State outscored Nevada 18-6 the rest of the way to secure the victory. The Aztecs shot 41.5% from the floor, including five of 21 from three-point range, and missed 12 of 34 free throw attempts yet still won by double figures. Jaedon LeDee led the Aztecs with 22 points and 12 rebounds in the win.

The Aztecs enter this contest putting up an average of 76.6 points per game on the season, putting them 130th in the nation in scoring offense. San Diego State pulls down an average of 38.3 rebounds per game and passes off 13 assists a night on the year. The Aztecs are 73rd in scoring defense as they allow 66.8 points a night. Jaedon LeDee leads the Aztecs as one of three players averaging in double figures with 21.6 points and 8.8 rebounds per game this season. Reese Waters (12.1 points) and Micah Parrish (10.2 points) are solid secondary scoring options. Lamont Butler, Darrion Trammell, Elijah Saunders, Jay Pal, Miles Byrd and Miles Heide are being looked at as key role players for Brian Dutcher and the Aztecs. San Diego State shoots 44.6% from the field as a team this season. The Aztecs connect on seven triples a night while shooting 32.1% from beyond the arc. San Diego State has been slightly above average at the charity stripe, conv erting 72.2% of their chances this season, putting them 142nd in the nation.

Trammell (illness) missed the Nevada game and is questionable for this contest.
