San Diego State Aztecs (14-4) vs. Air Force Falcons (12-7)

The college hoops betting action goes on Saturday, January 21, 2023, with the San Diego State Aztecs taking on the Air Force Falcons in the Mountain West Conference showdown at Clune Arena in Colorado Springs, Colorado.  

The tip-off is set for 10:00 PM ET, and the Aztecs open as firm 7-point road favorites with a total of 131.0 points. SDSU aims for its eighth straight victory over Air Force, so lets’ take a closer look.

Last weekend, the San Diego State Aztecs (14-4; 5-11-1 ATS; 5-1 conf.) stopped their six-game winning streak with a 76-67 home loss against the New Mexico Lobos. SDSU bounced back last Wednesday, outlasting the Colorado State Rams 82-76 in overtime. The Aztecs covered a 4.5-point spread, but it was an underwhelming performance on both sides of the ball. 

SDSU went 7-for-19 from deep and 17-for-25 from the charity stripe. The Aztecs posted 14 offensive rebounds and a 17/10 assist-to-turnover ratio while forcing the Rams into 14 turnovers. Junior guard Lamont Butler led the way for the Aztecs with 19 points and a couple of assists and steals, junior forward Micah Parrish notched 15 points, five rebounds, and three steals, while senior guard Matt Bradley had 14 points and s even assists. 

The Aztecs are scoring 111.3 points per 100 possessions (61st in the country) on 51.6% shooting from inside the arc (148th) and 36.1% from beyond the arc (81st). They are yielding 94.3 points per 100 possessions (26th) on 50.8% shooting from inside the arc (255th) and 31.1% from beyond the 3-point line (80th). SDSU is No. 29 in the NCAA NET Rankings and No. 28 in the KenPom rankings.
