San Diego State at Wyoming – 1/7/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The San Diego State Aztecs will head up to Laramie to face the Wyoming Cowboys in Mountain West play on CBS from Arena-Auditorium. San Diego State holds the all-time series lead 48-41 after winning eight matchups in a row.

San Diego State improved to 11-3 after beating UNLV on the road. The Aztecs faced a stiff task in Vegas, but after establishing a lead early, they’d hold on to defeat the Rebels by eight points. SDSU is scoring 75.4 points per game, while allowing 64.8 ppg, and shooting 45.6% from the floor.

SDSU looks very strong again defensively this season. The Aztecs have held five of their last seven opponents below the 60-point mark, and they should be threats in the MWC again this season. Seattle transfer Darrion Trammell tied a season-high with 21 points in the win over UNLV, and he leads the team in scoring (13.2) and assists (3.8). Veteran guard Matt Bradley caught fire against Air Force, going for a season-high 27 points, then he followed it up with 23 points versus UNLV to bring his season average to 12.9 ppg. Fifth-year starter Nathan Mensah anchors the defense, and he leads SDSU in rebounding (6.4).
