The San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers face off in Game 2 of their NLDS series at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Dodgers were able to jump out to a 1-0 series lead on Tuesday night. At the end of the three innings, the Dodgers were up 5-0. The Padres scored three runs in the 5th inning to make it a ballgame, but they couldn’t get any more runs, and that led to the 5-3 defeat. Trea Turner hit a home run in the first inning to start the scoring. Turner finished the game with two hits, two runs, and two RBIs. Wil Meyers was the top player for the Padres finishing with one hit, one run, and one RBI.
On Tuesday, Juan Soto finished with only one walk and zero hits. Manny Machado finished with one hit but didn’t drive in any runs or have any RBIs. Machado is having a strong season hitting 32 home runs and driving in 102 RBIs.
