San Antonio Spurs vs. Utah Jazz Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-25-2023

San Antonio Spurs (14-46) vs. Utah Jazz (30-31)

The NBA betting action goes on Saturday, February 25, with the San Antonio Spurs taking on the Utah Jazz in the Western Conference showdown at Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Jazz open as 10-point home favorites, and the totals sit at 242.5 points.

San Antonio is still missing Devin Vassell, who’s recovering from a knee injury, while Jeremy Sochan, Isaiah Roby, Tre Jones, and Khem Birch are all questionable to play against Utah. On the other side, the Jazz are without Collin Sexton, while Kelly Olynyk is listed as questionable.

The San Antonio Spurs (14-46; 24-36 ATS) are on a 15-game losing streak following Thursday’s 142-116 defeat at the Dallas Mavericks. It’s the longest losing run in franchise history, as the Spurs obviously want to have the best chances to land the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NBA draft.

San Antonio made 52.3% of its field goals against the Mavs. The Spurs went 10-for-25 from downtown but couldn’t stop a nosebleed. Rookie Malaki Branham led San Antonio with 23 points and five assists, while Keldon Johnson had 22 points, eight rebounds, and seven dishes.

“It's definitely tough, two of the best iso guys in the league on the same team,” Branham said. “Played them s olidly and made them kick out to other players. The other players made shots.”

The Spurs are 14th in the Western Conference and own the second-worst record in the NBA. They score 110.4 points per 100 possessions (28th in the NBA) and surrender 120.7 points in return (30th). The Spurs are dead last in the league in opposing field goal percentage (51.0%).
