San Antonio Spurs vs. New Orleans Pelicans Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 3-21-2023

The San Antonio Spurs head to New Orleans to take on the Pelicans on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET. San Antonio is coming off a 126-118 home win over the Atlanta Hawks on Sunday. New Orleans, meanwhile, picked up a 117-107 road win over the Houston Rockets on Sunday.

San Antonio is one of four teams eliminated from playoff contention already as the Spurs are just 19-52 which is 14th in the West and just one game up on Houston for 15th in the West. San Antonio is 5-5 in their last 10 but is a brutal 6-27 on the road this season and is averaging just 112.8 PPG which ranks 23rd while allowing 122.1 PPG which is dead-last in the NBA. The Spurs have been led by Keldon Johnson who's averaging 21.8 PPG, Devin Vassell is chipping in with 18.8 PPG, Devonte' Graham is averaging 15.5 PPG, and Tre Jones is averaging 12.5 PPG.

In the Spurs' win on Sunday, San Antonio trailed 40-34 after one and trailed 83-61 at the half. But, in the third quarter, the Spurs outscored Atlanta 39-20 and 26-15 in the fourth to get the comeback win. In the game, San Antonio was led by Johnson who had a double-double with 29 points and 12 rebounds, Vassell had 29 points, Zach Collins had 19, Jones had 11, and off the bench for the Spurs Julian Champagnie had 11.

San Antonio will be without Khem Birch and Charles Bassey while Doug McDermott, Graham, and Jeremy Sochan are day-to-day.
