San Antonio Spurs at Cleveland Cavaliers – 2/13/23 NBA Picks and Prediction

The San Antonio Spurs and the Cleveland Cavaliers duke it out at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Monday night.

The San Antonio Spurs have been in terrible shape as they’ve lost 17 of their last 18 games overall and they will be hoping to avoid a 13th straight defeat after getting thrashed by the Hawks in a 125-106 road loss on Saturday. Keldon Johnson led the team in scoring with 25 points on nine of 14 shooting, Jeremy Sochan added 18 points with nine rebounds and five assists while Malaki Branham chipped in with 10 points but no other player finished in double figures in scoring. As a team, the Spurs shot just 42 percent from the field and 11 of 37 from the 3-point line as they hung with the Hawks in a tightly-contested first half, before they went ice-cold and managed just 17 points in the third quarter to allow the Hawks to pull away and steal the game with ease.

Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers have been in red-hot form as they’ve won nine of their last 12 games overall and they will be eager to build on their current six-game win streak after taking down the Bulls in a 97-89 home win on Saturday. Donovan Mitchell led the team with 29 points, 10 rebounds and six assists, Jarrett Allen added 23 points with 10 rebounds while Darius Garland chipped in with 19 points and seven assists. As a team, the Cavaliers shot just 41 percent from the field and nine of 35 from the 3-point line as they really struggled to find their offense and scored just 14 points in the second quarter to trail by 13 points, but they remained within striking distance and dominated the fourth quarter by 28-15 to pull off the comeback victory.
