The Saint Peter's Peacocks were the talk of the college basketball world as they rolled through an upset-filled run in the NCAA Tournament. Back to reality, the Peacocks find themselves two games below .500 as they adjust to a new system and an altered roster. They have struggled particularly in the MAAC thus far with just a 2-5 record. On Sunday, Saint Peter's lost their third straight game in a 67-60 overtime defeat at the hands of Canisius at home. The Peacocks rallied from a six-point halftime deficit to force overtime but were outscored 13-7 in the extra frame. Isaiah Dasher led the way with 19 points but the Peacocks shot just 35% from the floor in defeat, including just 19% from 3pt range.

The Peacocks will need to right the ship shortly if they hope to make some noise in the MAAC this season. They have struggled particularly on the offense end thus far. Saint Peter's is ranked just 348th in the country in scoring. They are not adept at long range shooting either, ranking 338th in 3pt shooting. The Peacocks are middle of the pack in ball security, ranking 172nd in the country in turnovers. They have been better defensively, ranking 97th in the nation in points allowed per game. They are also 74th against the 3pt shot. The Peacocks have been solid on the glass, ranking 125th in rebounding.
