The Dayton Flyers will host the Saint Louis Billikens for some Atlantic 10 basketball from the UD Arena on ESPN2. Dayton leads the all-time series, 39-29, after winning five of the last six games.
Saint Louis improved to 16-8 following a home win over Rhode Island. The Billikens pulled away late in the second half to defeat the Rams by five points. Saint Louis is scoring 75.8 points per game, while allowing 70.9 ppg, and shooting 46.2% from the field.
Saint Louis responded to a pair of losses with the win over URI, and they have to avoid another untimely skid if they want to finish atop the conference. The Billikens are 8-3 in Atlantic 10 play, with a 4-4 road record. SLU carries a very experienced squad, and they’re led by stud point guard Yuri Collins. The senior point guard has a string on the basketball, and he leads the country in assists at 10.9 apg. Third-year forward Gibson Jimerson leads SLU in scoring at 13.2 ppg after back-to-back 24-point performances. Veteran big Francis Okoro mans the middle and is one of the top rebounders in the A10 at 8.6 rpg. Senior guards Javonte Perkins (10.7 ppg) and Javon Pickett (9.7 ppg, 4.8 rpg) round out the starting five.
