Saint Joseph's at George Mason – 1/29/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The St. Joseph’s Hawks will head down to Fairfax and face the George Mason Patriots in Atlantic 10 play from the EagleBank Arena on the USA Network. GMU leads the all-time series, 10-4, after winning each of the last seven meetings.

Saint Joseph’s dropped to 9-11 after falling to George Washington in DC. The Hawks and the Colonials needed overtime to decide a winner, and GWU would sneak away with the narrow one-point win. St. Joe’s is scoring 72.2 points per game, while allowing 72.6 ppg, and shooting 42.5% from the field.

St. Joe’s had their three-game win streak snapped in the Capitol, and they’ll look to regroup 30 minutes down the road in NoVa. The Hawks are 2-4 on the road, with both of those wins coming in Philly over Penn and La Salle, so they haven’t traveled well this season. Second-year guard Erik Reynolds scored 23 points in the win over UMass, and he leads SJU in scoring at 17.6 ppg. Four-year starter Cameron Brown led the team with 25 points against the Minutemen last weekend, and he leads the Hawks in rebounding (6.0), while scoring 14.2 ppg. Sophomore guard Lynn Greer III went off for a career-high 31 points last time against GWU, and he’s up to 10.2 ppg and a team-lead 4.4 apg.
