The 2022-23 NBA season continues with a nine-game Wednesday slate including the Pacific Division showdown between the Sacramento Kings and Los Angeles Lakers. The tip-off is set for 10:30 PM ET, and the Kings head to Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles as 3.5-point favorites.
Sacramento and Los Angeles lock horns for the fourth and final time this regular season, and the Kings lead the series 2-1. While the Kings are coming in full strength, the Lakers are missing Anthony Davis (foot) and Lonnie Walker IV (knee).
The Sacramento Kings (24-18; 24-18 ATS) are coming off Sunday’s 132-119 road victory over the lowly San Antonio Spurs. The Kings extended their SU and ATS winning streak to four games, covering a 6.5-point spread. After a tight first half, the Kings pulled away in the second, finishing the game with 14 triples out of 30 attempts from deep and a nice 24/6 assist-to-turnover ratio.
Harrison Barnes dropped 29 points on the Spurs, going 8-for-11 from the field and 9-for-11 from the free-throw line. De’Aaron Fox had 23 points and three assists, while Domantas Sabonis posted a line of 18 points, 18 rebounds, and eight dishes.
“It was evident that defensively we picked it up in the second h alf,” Sacramento coach Mike Brown said. “We are going to have to do a better job of defending for closer to 48 minutes. We can’t keep defending for 24 minutes of the game, especially in the second half. It’s just something that our guys have to do.”
