Rutgers vs. Maryland Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 11-26-2022

Five experts, five days of football, over 40 picks, and $8500 in profit to be had. All for only $55.

Maryland (6-5 SU, 5-6 ATS) is back in action when they host Rutgers (4-7 SU, 5-5-1 ATS) on Saturday at 12pmET in the regular season finale for both teams.

Rutgers has lost four straight and hoping to end the season on a good note. Maryland will be going bowling, but is going for seven wins.

Last season, the Terps crushed the Scarlet Knights 40-16 on the road as a 2-point dog.

Rutgers' home finale was ugly as they fell 55-10 to No. 11 Penn State. The Scarlet Knights amassed 167 total yards, while allowed 436 yards, including 237 on the ground. Rutgers comes into this game with a dreadful 1-7 conference record. It goes back to an offense that just couldn't compete with most defenses in the Big 10. Against Penn State, Rutgers' offense produced just nine first downs and threw for 135 yards. QB Gavin Wimsatt completed just 10 of 29 for 122 yards with a TD and a pick.

The offense and special teams put the defense behind the eight ball as the Nittany Lions scored their first TD on a 100-yard kickoff return and their second on a  14-yards fumble recovery for a score. Their problems on offense emanate from the starting quarterback position. Evan Simon, a 6-3 sophomore, completed 5 of 5 against Penn State, But he's been inconsistent, completing 59.4% of his passes for 758 yards with four TDs and six picks. Wimsatt has been inaccurate, completing 45.8% of his passes for 709 yards with five TDs and seven picks.
