After last year's “wide left,” Rob Gronkowski is coming back to attempt a second Kick of Destiny for FanDuel Sportsbook.
Last year, in a month-long promotion, the sports betting app operator promised $10 million in bonus bets to customers if Gronk made a 25-yard field goal during a third quarter commercial break in the Super Bowl. And after all the hype … he missed.
But FanDuel handed out freebies to customers anyway. Anyone who bet $5 or more on the Super Bowl woke up Monday morning to discover a $5 bonus bet in their account.
