Rider heads into this conference matchup with Marist on a three-game win streak and will try to keep pace with the top of the conference as they sit in third place in the MAAC. On Sunday afternoon, the Broncs won their third straight with a 67-65 home win over Manhattan. The Broncs were led by Mervin James and his 16 points on the afternoon. The Broncs shot 49% from the field overall and dominated the glass by the tune of 36-21.

“Another good game. I thought our guys did a really good job down the stretch getting stops. Even their coach muffs up at times. That last play when we had possession, I was a little indecisive on what to do. That's on me. We didn't get a good shot. But I thank the guys for bailing me out on that one. We had different guys come in the game – I thought Corey did some good things. Toks came in and gave us a lift. Nehemiah big one free throw there. A number of guys did some good th ings. We're starting to come together as a team. More guys are starting to help and we're able to count on a lot more guys than what we were doing early on.” – Rider Head Coach Kevin Baggett

Rider has had a surprisingly good run in conference play despite coming in at 3-6 in non-conference play. The Broncs have done so thanks to a fairly solid defense. Rider is 144th in scoring defense this season. They are 106th in opponent's field goal percentage but just 323rd in 3pt defense. Rider has been solid on the glass, ranking 99th in the nation in total defense. Offensively, things have been a bit more challenging for the Broncs. They are 231st in scoring offense this season. The team is 203rd in field goal percentage and 293rd in 3pt field goal percentage. Lastly, the Broncs are ranked 103rd in fewest turnovers per game.
