The Davidson Wildcats (9-7) host the Richmond Spiders (9-7) Wednesday night in the Atlantic 10. Last season these teams split their two head to head games against the spread and straight up with the road team prevailing each time.

The Richmond Spiders went 24-13 last season. As a No. 12 seed in the NCAA Tournament, Richmond earned a first-round upset win over Iowa before losing to Providence in the second round. The Spiders lost four of their top five scorers from last season but did return their No. 1 scorer Tyler Burton, a 6'7 senior. Burton is leading the way once again, averaging 19.8 points and 7.8 rebounds per game after averaging 16.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per game last season.

Richmond was rated 101st in the nation and seventh in the Atlantic 10 according to si.com before the season started.The Spiders are 103rd in the nation according to KenPom.  They are 81st in adjusted defensive efficiency, 150th offensively and have faced the 227th-rated strength of schedule.

After dropping their conference opener to George Mason 62-58 on New Year's Eve, the Spiders have won their last two. They beat George Washington 73-63 Wednesday and Duquesne 75-73 on Saturday. Burton has led the team in scoring in six straight games and is averaging 23.3 ppg in conference action.
