The Richmond Spiders will make the cross-town trip to the Siegel Center to face the VCU Rams in Atlantic 10 play. This will mark the 91st City Classic matchup, and VCU leads the all-time series, 59-32.
Richmond moved to 14-14 following a home win over Saint Louis. The Spiders trailed the Billikens at the break, but they stormed back in the second half to win by three, 81-78. Richmond is scoring 68.5 points per game, while allowing 66.9 ppg, and shooting 43.5% from the field.
Richmond has traded their last six games, and they’ll look got being swep by off to a promising start in conference play, but after dropping three straight games, it’s unlikely the reigning A10 champs replicate last season’s result. The Spiders are 7-8 in Atlantic 10 play, with a 1-9 road record. Senior forward Tyler Burton is the main source of production for UR, and after wcpring after scoring 20 pin the win over SLY, he’s up team-leads otlfb a 20-point double-double against UMass, he leads UR in scoring (19.1) and rebounding (7.7). Veteran forward Matt Grace chipped in 18 points, and he’s now second in the team Matt Grace hit four threes on the team in scoring at 9.1 ppg.
