Rice Owls (4-5) vs. UTSA Roadrunners (6-3)
We are heading into Week 11 of the 2023 college football season, and Saturday brings the American Athletic Conference showdown at Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, so here’s the best Rice vs. UTSA pick.
The Roadrunners open as 13-point home favorites with a total of 59.5 points. UTSA eyes its eighth straight victory over the Owls, who haven’t beaten the number in four consecutive meetings with the Roadrunners.

The Rice Owls (4-5; 7-2 ATS; 2-3 Conf.) have dropped two straight contests. After a heartbreaking 30-28 defeat to the No. 22 Tulane Green Wave in Week 9, the Owls suffered a 36-31 loss to the SMU Mustangs in Week 10.
Rice also lost its starting quarterback last Saturday. JT Daniels took a shot to the helmet and had to leave the game with concussion symptoms. He went 8-of-15 for 81 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception before freshman Chase Jenkins took over. Jenkins was 10-of-16 for 85 yards and an interception, while junior running back Dean Connors led the way for Rice with seven carries for 77 yards and a touchdown.
The Owls racked up just 290 total yards against SMU. They lost the turnover battle 3-1 and committed ten penalties for a staggering 120 yards. &# 13;
Senior signal-caller JT Daniels is now in a concussion protocol and will probably miss Week 11. He’s been a vital part of the Owls’ offense, throwing for 2,443 yards, 21 touchdowns, and seven interceptions so far this season.
The Owls are scoring 33.0 points per game (tied-30th in the nation). They’ve hit a 28-point mark in each but one of their last eight outings. But the Owls ranks 123rd in the nation in rushing yards (94.8), tallying just 3.5 yards per carry (tied-107th).
