After stumbling out of the gate, as the team learned a new system, to a 1-4 start, the Rhode Island Rams have now gone 3-3. In fact, the Rams have put together a two-game win streak following an exciting 77-75 overtime win over UMass-Lowell on Tuesday night. The Rams' win snapped a 9-game winning streak by the River Hawks. After failing to get a shot on the rim as regulation expired, Ishmael Leggett hit two free throws in the overtime that sealed the win with under six seconds to play. The win marked the first time all season that URI has won back-to-back games. Leggett led the Rams with 19 points while Bravon Freeman chipped in with 17 points. Freeman finished four-of-five from long distance in the victory.

The Rams are still being outscored overall this season by an average of 1.5 points per game. URI is shooting the ball just 40% from the field and 28% from long range. In addition, they are averaging 15 turnovers per game and the opposition has blocked an average of six URI shots per contest.
